A Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides nursing staff (LPN and RN) with assistance in performing residents' daily living activities. The major roles and necessary duties of a CNA include caring for multiple residents, upholding Resident Rights, providing personal care and assistance with daily tasks, assisting nurses with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients, administering treatments and tests with nurse supervision, and assisting with restorative and rehab care under appropriate guidance and supervision. Additionally, CNAs should consistently exhibit dependability and punctuality while on duty.

It is also critical that CNAs can make independent decisions and work constructively with others.

• Providing support to many occupants of the residential establishment.
• Observe Resident Rights
• Help with activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Provide assistance to the nurse in handling the necessary paperwork and documentation for admission, transfer, and discharge
• Collaborate with the nurse to administer prescribed treatments and monitor the health status of residents
• Assist in the facilitation of restorative and rehab care by providing thorough instruction and close monitoring
• Consistently exhibit dependability and punctuality by adhering to the work schedule.

The training program usually consists of both classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience:

• The state of employment mandates that a current and authentic CNA license be held by the Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Capability to read, write, comprehend, and articulate in the English language.
• The ability to make decisions independently when the occasion demands it.
• Displaying the knack for fostering a positive work environment with other personnel.
