Clinical Operations Manager

Surfpoint Recovery is an innovative treatment center for substance use disorders (SUD) located in Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY. We are licensed by OASAS and recognized as a CARF-certified Center of Excellence. Our facility offers comprehensive inpatient detoxification, withdrawal management, stabilization services, and rehabilitation programs for individuals with substance use issues. The Clinical Operations Manager collaborates with both the Clinical Director and Program Director to deliver individual therapy, develop treatment plans, manage cases, advocate for clients, and provide crisis intervention.

Schedule: Friday to Tuesday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Program Director to design, implement, and assess services, programs, and activities.
• Work with the Clinical Director, Program Director, and counselors to establish a continuum of care for participants in the program.
• Assist in managing the daily activities of the counseling staff.
• Ensure that all counseling staff receive proper training in the curriculum being utilized with clients.
• Directly supervise the assessment of newly admitted patients and help oversee clinical staff in scheduling treatment activities, assigning caseloads, and evaluating clinician performance.
• Review clinical documentation with the Program Director and Clinical Director, conducting regular quality assurance and improvement assessments to ensure timely record-keeping.
• Conduct regular reviews of charts to confirm compliance with governing agency regulations and that appropriate documentation is maintained promptly.
• Attend meetings convened by the Clinical Director and Program Director, participating in discussions aimed at improving and expanding existing programs, while making recommendations.
• Assist in monitoring quality assurance and improvement initiatives, offering recommendations for corrective actions to the Clinical Director and Program Director.
• Ensure that the operations of providers comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding family-focused and trauma-informed mental health services for the inpatient treatment community.
• Provide individual and group counseling sessions and take part in case conferences.
• Facilitate individual supervision sessions with counseling staff.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
• Licensed in New York State as a qualified health professional (QHP), such as CASAC, LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, LCAT, or other relevant certifications.
• Preferably 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in providing one-on-one supervision for clinical staff is preferred.
